Topic 1 of 4
#Read the results table
| Result | What it suggests |
|---|---|
| Recent sample | The player has reported a current test |
| Latency | How quickly the test exchanged small requests |
| Download result | Observed transfer performance during that sample |
| Older sample | Useful for history, not proof of current conditions |
| No result | The utility may not have run or reported yet |
Topic 2 of 4
#Compare like with like
- Compare the same player at similar operating times.
- Look for a pattern across several samples rather than one outlier.
- Compare nearby players only when they are expected to share a connection path.
- Keep playback demand and site activity in mind when reading a result.
Topic 3 of 4
#Turn a result into an action
| Pattern | Next step |
|---|---|
| One poor sample | Wait for or request another approved sample |
| Repeated poor samples | Escalate with player, site and timestamps |
| Whole site changed | Check for a shared site event |
| No recent samples | Confirm the utility presentation is expected to report |
